Chat, summarize, and extract with Claude Haiku
HaikuChat brings Claude Haiku 5.5 into your browser for questions, text summaries, and structured tables. No API key needed.
Why Haiku 5.5?
Anthropic’s October 7 release reports stronger reasoning and its fastest model performance at standard speed. It estimates around 75% lower running cost than Haiku 4.5, making frequent summaries and extraction tasks a natural fit. Read the release. These are Anthropic’s model comparisons; HaikuChat uses its own credit rates and service limits.
Ask questions and work through ideas
Ask for an explanation, revise a paragraph, or discuss a problem. Give Haiku the context and the format you need, then follow up in the same conversation. You can copy an answer or start a new chat when the subject changes.
Try: “Explain the difference between a habit and a goal, with one everyday example.”
Summarize text into key points and next steps
Select Summarize and paste meeting notes, an email, or an article. The template asks for key points, a conclusion, and action items. Dates and decisions should come from your source; check the summary against the original before sharing it.
Useful for: a meeting recap, a long email thread, or notes you need to turn into a short brief.
Extract text and screenshots into a table
Select Extract to table, name the fields you want, and paste text or attach an image. For an invoice, you might choose Customer, Date, Amount, and Notes. Review the values, copy the table, or download a CSV to use in a spreadsheet. Missing values are marked Not found; unclear values need your review.
Useful for: invoice details, contact information, or a screenshot of records you want to organize.

Which Claude Haiku model does this use?
The workspace defaults to Claude Haiku 5.5. You can choose Haiku 4.5 in the menu beside the send button. Each model has its own credit rates, shown in that menu. The comparison guides discuss other models, but do not add them to this workspace.
Can HaikuChat summarize a website or a PDF?
Paste the text you want summarized. URLs are treated as text; HaikuChat does not open web pages or accept PDF uploads. For a screenshot, attach one static JPEG, PNG, or WebP up to 5 MB and 16 megapixels. A conversation can contain at most three images.
How do I turn an image into a spreadsheet table?
Choose Extract to table, enter up to 10 comma-separated field names, and attach a clear screenshot. Check the extracted values against the image before downloading the CSV. Small or blurry text may be unreadable; a table is not a guarantee that every value is correct.
How much does a conversation use?
Signed-in users see an estimated credit cost before sending. Completed tasks settle against actual model usage, including conversation context and images. Longer replies use more credits. Failed tasks release their reservation. Read the limits and credit rules.
Where are my conversations saved?
Drafts before sign-in stay on your device. Signed-in users can choose private cloud history for up to 90 days. Importing an earlier local conversation requires your action. You can manage saved conversations from the workspace history.
